Turn traffic data into Smart Data to optimize both service performance and cost in any hybrid cloud

Enterprises rely on the IT organization to continuously deploy new services and migrate on-premises workloads to the cloud. But moving workloads creates borders and blind spots between different technology and management domains across on-premises and cloud environments. How do IT teams handle the unexpected? Fragmented visibility in the hybrid environment increases the time required to resolve performance problems. Gaining end-thru-end visibility across the cloud, data center, and network not only reduces Mean-Time-To-Resolution (MTTR) but also enables optimization of service performance and user experience at any given level of AWS compute, network and storage resource, utilization of those resources and their respective cost point.

NETSCOUT offers continuous monitoring and troubleshooting solutions to minimize business risk and accelerate cloud migration. By turning packet data into Smart Data, NETSCOUT enables you to see across infrastructure complexities in a single, real-time view that illuminates the root cause of application performance problems and gives you actionable insights to quickly solve service delivery issues. We call it Visibility without Borders. Companies and governments around the world say it is the most effective method of protecting user productivity and assuring the best customer experience at an optimal cost on their hybrid cloud.

At AWS re:Invent, discover how NETSCOUT’s collaboration with AWS and our certified solutions and competencies allow you to reduce time to results by efficiently and effectively assuring service performance before, during, and after cloud migration.

Confidently migrate applications to AWS

With NETSCOUT, you get smart cloud migration for AWS. Monitor a variety of availability, reliability, responsiveness and threat metrics and make them easily accessible in real time to the right team members with custom views relevant to their function. You can instantiate Virtual nGeniusONE or vSTREAM as an AMI in AWS EC2 environments for proactive service triage and application performance troubleshooting. NETSCOUT has also partnered with VMware to provide the most complete packet data visibility solution across your hybrid AWS cloud.

Innovative Hybrid Cloud Visibility with Amazon VPC Traffic Mirroring and VPC Ingress Routing

NETSCOUT extends the power of packet data directly into the heart of an enterprise’s hybrid cloud and applications. You can use AWS native features including Amazon VPC Ingress Routing and Amazon VPC Traffic Mirroring to deliver application traffic to NETSCOUT’s vSTREAM virtual appliances that offer software-based instrumentation of application workloads. NETSCOUT’s nGeniusONE platform leverages Smart Data from vSTREAM to provide deep insights into east-west and north-south traffic for affordable service assurance.

The recently announced AWS Gateway Load Balancer (GWLB) makes it easier for NETSCOUT to offer end-thru-end visibility. The GWLB makes it easy to deploy our best-of-breed deep packet inspection (DPI) and security appliances by adding high availability, scalability, and load balancing capabilities. Visibility anytime, anywhere for SaaS, PaaS and IaaS

Synthetic testing and infrastructure health monitoring with nGeniusPULSE complements the smart data intelligence you get from nGeniusONE. This combination provides IT with solutions to meet today’s hybrid cloud demands for quality end-user experience.

Contextual, seamless workflows help you understand the scope and impact of issues while simultaneously increasing IT Ops efficiency, reducing MTTR, and facilitating collaboration across teams.

  Accessing Application Traffic in AWS
      Abstract and Dates/Times

Wednesday, December 16 @ 12:00 PM CET

IDC says by the end of 2021, 80% of enterprises will put a mechanism in place to shift to cloud-centric infrastructure and applications twice as fast as before the pandemic. But how do IT teams handle the unexpected? When a user complains that an application is slow. Or, people can’t stay connected or they get errors trying to access internal information. How do you find out what is the root cause of the problem? Packets don’t lie, and NETSCOUT and AWS come together to expose the truth. NETSCOUT collaborates with AWS to provide first-of-its-kind network traffic visibility through interoperability with a variety of AWS services and technologies including the recently announced AWS Gateway Load Balancer. In this session, learn how AWS provides the means to get to the packets and what NETSCOUT does to turn packets into Smart Data. You will discover that analyzing traffic data at the source is the most effective method of assuring service delivery across any hybrid cloud.

  Visibility for Connected Cloud Architectures
      Abstract and Dates/Times

     Tuesday, December 8 @ 2:00 PM PT
     Wednesday, December 9 @ 1:30 PM CET
     Tuesday, December 15 @ 2:00 PM PT
     Wednesday, December 16 @ 1:30 PM CET

Cloud waste is growing while at the same time more and more enterprises are adopting connected cloud architectures to overcome issues with application modernization and data integration. A recent IDC survey of 409 enterprises found that 71% of the respondents felt that the importance of Shared Cross-Cloud Management Control Plane was “very important”. And the most important areas are “performance monitoring and analytics” and “cloud cost management/optimization”. In this session you will learn how NETSCOUT optimizes both service performance and cost in any multi-cloud deployment. See infrastructure complexities in a single, real-time view that illuminates the root cause of application or service performance problems and gives you actionable insights. NETSCOUT will demonstrate consistent end-thru-end visibility and analytics for any connected cloud architecture.

Multi-Cloud Threat Protection, Detection and Hunting
      Abstract and Dates/Times

     Wednesday, December 9 @ 1:00 PM PT
     Thursday, December 10 @ 1:00 PM CET
     Wednesday, December 16 @ 1:00 PM PT
     Thursday, December 17 @ 1:00 PM CET

Many organizations are accelerating investments in digital transformation with multi-cloud becoming a growing part of their digital platform and business reinvention. To “future proof” their business requires partnering with the right vendors. A recent ESG poll of 247 enterprises found that 77% of the respondents are actively consolidating the number of cybersecurity vendors with whom they do business. In a complex multi-cloud world, finding the right vendor to span these environments is the key to digital success and security assurance. This session will show you how NETSCOUT combines the best threat intel with DDoS and incident response technology that allow you to use the same data to protect, detect and hunt on any cloud or network. We will demonstrate how you can reduce business risk by turning packet data and NETSCOUT’s ATLAS Threat Intelligence feed into Smart Data to detect and investigate cyber threats as well as get best in class DDoS protection.

  Enterprise 5G and Edge
      Abstract and Dates/Times

     Thursday December 10 @ 1:00 PM PT
     Friday, December 11 @ 1:00 PM CET
     Thursday December 17 @ 1:00 PM PT
     Friday, December 18 @ 1:00 PM CET

Enterprises are heading towards the “edge” to dramatically reduce time to value. AWS helps extend Enterprise 5G to the network edge with Wavelength, deployed in the CSP edge datacenter, and Outpost deployed in Enterprise on premises environments. 5G user plane and some of the control plane VNFs can be deployed at the network edge in Wavelength, while other VNFs are deployed in AWS VPCs. CSPs can then use network slicing to deliver streaming video, IoT, AR/VR, gaming and other ultra-reliable low-latency services all the way to the edge and make them available to Enterprises. In this session you will learn how NETSCOUT uses VPC Traffic Mirroring to monitor both the edge 5G VNFs, the multi-access edge computing (MEC) server and other service delivery edge and 5G core elements. The acquired traffic data is then converted it into Smart Data for end-thru-end visibility and service assurance.
