Key Certifications for NETSCOUT and our Products and Solutions
Many of our leading flagship products like nGeniusONE, InfiniStreamNG, vSTREAM, nGeniusPULSE, Arbor Edge Defense, nGenius Packet Flow Switches have undergone certification testing through a variety of organizations to help validate the high standards of security and reliability we design into all products and make it easier for certain government entities to acquire our technology. Some of the more familiar certifications include: Common Criteria; FIPS, DoDIN APL, CDM APL and IPv6.
Common Criteria was created primarily to ensure that evaluations of IT products and protection profiles are performed to high and consistent standards and are seen to contribute significantly to confidence in the security of those products and profiles.
Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) are developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology for use in computer systems by American government agencies and contractors for a variety of purposes including computer security and interoperability.
The Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) Approved Product List (APL) is the single consolidated list of products that have completed Cybersecurity and Interoperability certification. Products on the Continuous Diagnostics & Mitigation (CDM) APL have undergone Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) product qualifications.
Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) is the latest version of the Internet Protocol that identifies devices across the internet so they can be located and utilizes 128-bit addressing, handles packets more efficiently, improves performance and increases security.
