With AED 8100, you can now deploy a hot standby AED cost-effectively for automated failover if the primary AED fails. The primary AED automatically synchronizes the blocked hosts to the hot standby AED. In case of a failure with the primary AED, the network detects the failure and automatically switches traffic to the hot standby AED. Because the hot standby has the up-to-date blocked hosts from the primary it can immediately and automatically continue blocking the attack traffic that the primary was already blocking.
