NETSCOUT has released the new nGeniusEDGE Server, a preconfigured solution that provides customers with the visibility and insights they need to ensure a high-quality end-user experience regardless of where employees work. nGeniusEDGE Server offers a faster way to identify and resolve performance issues that impact end users via an easy-to-deploy solution that brings the views and analysis of nGeniusONE together with nGeniusPULSE nPoint synthetic testing to promptly warn IT teams of problems to be addressed before they impact business.

“More than ever, IT organizations need to assess performance problems quickly before they impact business productivity and performance, regardless of whether they are caused by applications, clients, services, or network infrastructure,” says Mark Leary, research director of network analytics and automation at IDC. “As a result of the pandemic, more companies are embracing hybrid work models with employees now operating beyond the reach and view of traditional monitoring tools. In addition, remote locations at the edge of enterprise networks are driving higher-value contributions in the extended digital business model at work in such industries as manufacturing, banking, and retail. These edge environments often have visibility gaps that need to be resolved in order to assure the delivery of the best possible end-user experience within these remote locations.”

According to a business impact study conducted by NETSCOUT in 2021, more than 42 percent of businesses will continue to support a hybrid work environment after the COVID-19 pandemic is over. As a result, IT teams need visibility into employees using virtual private networks (VPNs), virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), unified communications as a service (UCaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and other voice and business applications from their remote location to ensure business continuity.

nGeniusEDGE Server proactively monitors the end-user experience by using business transaction testing for continuous packet-based troubleshooting from the client edge, including collaborative services such as Webex and Zoom as well as web-based/SaaS applications such as Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and other data center-based applications.

“Massive shifts to remote work over the past two years exposed application and network performance issues, leaving IT teams challenged to satisfy the needs of their employees,” says Michael Szabados, chief operating officer at NETSCOUT. “nGeniusEDGE Server offers the ability to quickly discover why issues are occurring and pinpoint where they are happening. For customers who haven’t worked with NETSCOUT in the past, it opens the door to harnessing the power of NETSCOUT’s patented Adaptive Service Intelligence technology in support of remote workers in a practical and affordable solution.”

To support end-user experience monitoring with quick time to value, nGeniusEDGE Server comes pre-configured with nGeniusPULSE and nGeniusONE software. Hardware or software nPoints are available separately. For more information on nGeniusEDGE Server, visit https://www.netscout.com/product/ngenius-edge-server
