Always Behind the Threat

Executives, boards, patients, and every other stakeholder in the healthcare ecosystem are rightly anxious about cybersecurity. Malware is a constant threat, but a perimeter cybersecurity solution should be supplemented by a solution that monitors all traffic that crosses the network. This core-and-edge vigilance is essential because risk changes all the time, cybercriminals are becoming more sophisticated, and human error will never completely disappear.

A promising strategy is based on considering that each malware attack has many distinct stages, from abnormal behavior to Indicators of Compromise (IOCs). Adding the ability to identify the presence of threats on the network throughout these stages will go a long way toward mitigating them before they become full-on attacks.
