Service Quality for the World’s Largest Temporary Network
nGenius Service Assurance Solution to Monitor the Real-Time Operations of InteropNet Providing Layer 2-7 Real-Time Visibility Into Networks, Applications and Services
WESTFORD, Mass. and NEW YORK – September 26, 2012—NetScout Systems, Inc. today announced the nGenius Service Assurance Solution will assure service delivery for InteropNet, the world’s largest temporary IT network. The nGenius Service Assurance Solution will provide unified views of converged service traffic including applications, voice, video and multimedia flowing across the InteropNet, a multi-tier, multi-location service delivery environment. NetScout will also be demonstrating the nGenius solution in booth #331. The InteropNet is built through collaboration amongst hand-selected innovative vendors, as well as industry volunteers. It provides exhibitors and attendees with a reliable high-speed network throughout the entire conference center, and is a premier example of how to design, deploy and manage a multi-vendor, converged network. Conference organizers charged with providing IT services at Interop chose the nGenius Service Assurance Solution to help the InteropNet team optimize the availability and performance of delivered services, protect the user experience and simplify managing service performance for this environment. Exhibitors and attendees rely on InteropNet for services ranging from email access to voice, video conferencing and Telepresence, in addition to Internet connectivity. The nGenius Service Assurance Solution will provide InteropNet administrators with granular visibility into their network environment by capturing and analyzing real-time Layer 3-7 IP service traffic flows. Leveraging the actionable insight resulting from that analysis, administrators will be able to identify and resolve critical issues, as well as proactively predict and preempt potential performance issues before they impact end-users at the show. The InteropNet Network Operations Center (NOC) and NetScout’s booth will have real-time plasma screens installed to allow attendees to see the nGenius Service Assurance Solution in action. Displayed on the screens will be nGenius Service Delivery Manager providing a real-time dashboard view of network-wide service status, actionable alerts and warnings for emerging performance problems. This year’s deployment will have approximately 10 distributed nGenius InfiniStream appliances and nGenius Virtual Agents running on VMware® servers deployed within the distributed data centers and on the show floor. Tours of the entire InteropNet NOC are available.
