Enterprise

This four-hour workshop will introduce attendees to the area of nGenius Enterprise Performance Management Using Advanced Adaptive Service Intelligence® (ASI technology). nGeniusONE and nGeniusPULSE combine passive, packet-based monitoring, and synthetic business transaction testing intelligence in a single data source where nGeniusPULSE nPoints synthetic test data gets sent to InfiniStreamNG® or vSTREAM® appliances.

Attendees will learn how to create synthetic testing including Business transactions test which emulate end user experiences on the network. Also discussed is how the smart data is recorded. Comprehensive visibility comes from the unique combination of nGeniusONE Service Assurance platform smart data and nGeniusPULSE synthetic test monitoring, which enables organizations to pinpoint the true root cause of problems. nGeniusONE is the foundation of NETSCOUT’s recently introduced Enterprise Performance Management for service edge monitoring and end-user experience assurance.

Attendees will also learn how to use the nGeniusONE platform for network and application visibility, enterprise-wide and edge monitoring, analytics reporting, troubleshooting, and end-user experience analysis.

Need a challenge or just want to learn some troubleshooting by fire? Then attend the Advanced Problem-Solving Situation Room.

You’ll be given a progression of tasks from basic to advanced, testing your nGeniusONE knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

This challenging two-hour collaborative workshop allows you to work alone as well as with your peers where you will be presented with a scenario, problem or task and given a set time limit to perform, identify or solve it.

Solution(s) will be discussed to demonstrate at least one way of completing the task.

Are you an administrator or simply want to know how your administrator makes your life easier?

Attend this workshop and learn how the nGeniusONE and InfiniStreams are set up to allow monitoring your environment.

Topics covered will include but not limited to nGeniusONE and InfiniStream setup configuration, Global settings, service configurations and user management.

Advanced level knowledge of nGeniusONE is not required but will help you quickly understand the concepts of setting up features you are already using.

Communications Service Providers

nGenius TrueCall (nTC) is a mobile geoanalytics platform allowing engineers to visualize Radio Access Network (RAN) performance. TrueCall enables operators to steer radio access technologies, such as LTE EUTRAN and 5G NR, to improve network performance, target geomarketing services, optimize the customer experience and more. nTC leverages network signaling events or individual call detail records to create powerful maps and reports of device and network performance, including detailed drill-down visibility into each individual call in the network.

This course teaches the basics of using the nTC system to analyze RAN performance based on geographical area, network element, device, and subscriber. Participants will be taught how to use the tool to identify coverage problems, traffic hotspots, dropped connection analysis, identify problematic device types, and trace calls for a specific subscriber. Participants will also learn how to extract KPIs for selected cells, device types, or specific groups of subscribers. The hands-on exercises help reinforce these key objectives.

The nGeniusONE platform supports service provider environments with a service-focused approach to performance management. The solution provides health and holistic status for all business services with intelligent early warning that supports proactive problem identification and triage. This approach enables service provider teams to manage diverse services including web-based applications, public and private clouds, and specialized environments such as IMS and CS networks. Students will practice service triage workflows using of the following tools:

  • Service Dashboard
  • Service Dependency
  • Service Alerts
  • Service Monitors
  • Search and Discover

Through lecture, demonstrations and hands-on labs, this four-hour session gives you hands-on access to the nGeniusONE ® Service Assurance platform. You will be introduced to concepts, capabilities, and workflows that makeup NETSCOUT’s service triage solution for Communications Service Providers for mobile and fixed line networks.

In this session, you will

  • Learn about Service Dashboard visualizations and workflows as first step in top-down approach in Service Triage. It provides consolidated visual overviews of the health of application services, networks services and service domains in the network.
  • Understand the importance of using Monitors in isolating Service and Network issues by analyzing reasons of service failures and metrics that affect service and network degradation.
  • Utilize the Call Search module to initiate trace of VOIP session.
  • Use the Search and Discover as a powerful troubleshooting tool to narrow the search for what you are looking for whether it’s a user name, protocol/application, handset, cell id or network service.

Learn how to leverage NETSCOUT’s smart data to gain insights into network usage and performance along with subscriber and device behavior with nGenius Business Analytics (nBA). In this introductory hands-on session, the architecture and applications in nBA will be examined to get users performing business analytics and monetizing network data.

The session will focus on hands-on lab exercises involving:

  • Exploring nBA datasets using the Data Browser. This activity is essential to understanding, in detail, the records which make up a metric result or exploring the range and patterns of data available when researching new use cases.
  • Creating your own dashboard using various visualization techniques such Metric Report, Metric Viewer, Metric Grid, and DR Table. Using the drill down feature to view the metrics by other dimensions and exporting the charts in various formats will also be demonstrated.
  • Learning the filter operators to reduce the result set and to focus on the data of interest in Dashboards and Data Browser.
  • Learning to create your own metrics using the Metric Builder.
  • Building Microstrategy Report and use it as data source in creating Dashboard.

Key to reducing customer churn and reducing MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) is quickly identifying the root cause of a network outage or service degradation. In this interactive session you will learn how to uncover and analyze Voice, Data and SMS sessions that fail to deliver the desired performance on a specific subscriber using nGenius Session Analyzer (nSA).

In lecture, demonstrations, and hands-on labs, we will explore features and workflows that identify failure reasons that affect quality of experience of a subscriber. This also cover discussion on multiple protocol correlation feature that provides end-to-end visibility of transactions. This session is ideal for those who handle customer care escalations, trouble tickets resolutions, new service introduction and network expansion.
