Training On The Road
NetScout Systems is committed to providing a thorough and practical training experience to ensure that every student attending a Corporate, Regional or On-Site training course has access to an extensive set of resources to acquire the skills and knowledge required to monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot production network and application behavior.
To ensure that all students attending any class have the same opportunity to create system configurations, profile WAN and LAN systems network traffic and analyze application performance, NetScout Systems has designed a state-of-the-art Mobile Lab to accompany our education staff at Regional and On-Site training seminars.
The Mobile Lab is in effect a production-level network that incorporates a variety of network topologies (Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, Frame Relay) to serve as the foundation for a highly interactive, hands-on training experience. Designed to accommodate up to 12 students, the Mobile Lab is equipped to provide each lab station with a client system and a dedicated nGenius® Server Appliance. Data sources available to each lab station, consist of a set of two nGenius Probes to monitor network and application traffic traversing Frame Relay and Fast/Gigabit Ethernet segments as well Cisco Routers and Switches.
Anticipated Learning Results
With emulated production application data available for analysis (e.g TCP/IP, HTTP, Citrix, HTTPS, NefFlow, Lotus Notes) students are able to utilize these dedicated resources to familiarize themselves with the extensive real-time troubleshooting capabilities of nGenius Performance Manager as well as the reporting, trending and capabilities of the nGenius NewsPaper-style and Ad Hoc Reporting toolsets.
With access to production level real time and historical data, the context and presentation of the course materials enable students to actively monitor and analyze application behavior to gain valuable experience in assessing network performance using the NetScout Systems’ best practices approach. Structured hands-on exercises and scenario case studies create a learning environment for students to fully experience, learn and implement the capabilities of NetScout’s nGenius Performance Manager and nGenius Probes.
