Sniffer® University -- nGenius® Certifications

NetScout offers three types of nGenius Certifications:

nGenius Certified Professional (nCP)
nGenius Certified Expert (nCE)
nGenius Certified Master (nCM)

nGenius Certified Professional (nCP)

nGenius Certified Professional (nCP) certification validates a network professional's ability to configure and troubleshoot nGenius instrumentation and nGenius Performance Manager software to monitor and analyze network and application behavior. Network Professionals who achieve the nCP designation have demonstrated the knowledge required to configure and use nGenius Performance Manager console views and reporting toolsets to manage and monitor bandwidth utilization, protocol operations and application services that integrate voice, data and other multi-tiered applications within the network.

Written Exam:
1T6-192 – Analyzing and Troubleshooting Network/Application Performance with nGenius Performance Manager. Completion of written exam (Score of 80%+)

nGenius Certified Expert (nCE)

nGenius Certified Expert (nCE) certification recognizes the increased importance placed on IT professionals who are responsible for managing network and application performance within converged network architectures. The certification content focuses on understanding TCP/IP protocol operations, troubleshooting network and application performance and the use of nGenius Instrumentation to successfully collect and analyze data. Network professionals earning an nCE certification validate an advanced knowledge of operating, configuring, and troubleshooting the Modern IP network.

1T6-521 – Application Performance Analysis and Troubleshooting

1T6-540 – Performing Network Analysis and Troubleshooting with nGenius InfiniStream
1T6-323 – Microsoft Windows Network Analysis and Troubleshooting

nGenius Certified Master (nCM)

nGenius Certified Master (nCM) certification indicates an expert knowledge of network and application behavior and the skills in using nGenius software and instrumentation to optimize and troubleshoot performance. An nCM credentialed network professional has demonstrated skills within a production level network environment specific to the configuration, troubleshooting and optimization of complex multi-layered enterprise architectures.
