nGenius® LAN Probes Deployment
To collect network data, nGenius® LAN Probes connect to the network via passive taps or switch span ports (Ethernet/ Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet) where they monitor and analyze key information on the network, including applications, hosts, conversations, utilization and errors. nGenius LAN probes automatically discover VLANS and also have the capabilities to aggregate traffic with multi-port configurations for load balanced or redundant links, providing the necessary network performance management information to troubleshoot the most difficult network performance problems. nGenius Performance Manager uses this information to provide real-time analysis and historical reporting for a variety of LAN network as seen below.
