nGenius Performance Manager - What's New in Version 4.6
The nGenius Performance Management System version 4.6 delivers on NetScout’s promise of a unified software solution for the majority of older and all new InfiniStream products. It also provides many new features and enhanced functionality that continue to extend visibility into the modern IP network in order to predict, identify and resolve the most complex networked application issues. These new features and functionality include:
- A combined set of protocols and a common decode engine for all packet analysis
- Sniffer Analysis, a new console that provides users with Sniffer Expert and Sniffer Intelligence functionality as well as direct connection into the majority of NetScout’s packet capture devices
- Tighter integration between nGenius Performance Manager and our packet analysis tools, including the ability to
- Launch Sniffer Intelligence from the Performance Manager Alarm Viewer, using the start and end time from the alarm as context
- Launch MultiSegment Analysis from the nGenius Performance Manager Navigation Tree or All Enterprise view using the start and end time range as the filter

Aggregate Host Groups configure which hosts are collected individually and which are aggregated
