Arbor Networks Extends WestconGroup Distribution Agreement to Europe

Date: Tuesday January 12, 2016

Global Expansion Leveraging WestconGroup’s Incubation Program

BURLINGTON, MA., January 12, 2016 – Arbor Networks Inc., the security division of NETSCOUT (NASDAQ: NTCT), today announced that it has expanded its distribution agreement with WestconGroup, the leading value-added global distributor of security, unified communications, network infrastructure, and data center solutions. The two companies previously had an agreement to carry Arbor’s distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) solutions in Latin America and the Middle East. This expansion further extends Arbor’s reach into the European enterprise market.

Arbor is leveraging WestconGroup’s incubation program, a programmatic approach to geographic expansion that enables Arbor to leverage repeatable, efficient, cost-effective and scalable processes.

“Our experience working with WestconGroup in other regions has been fantastic. They know the customers, understand security and value what Arbor can bring to the table in terms of proven, market-leading solutions,” said Jeremy Nichols, global vice president of channel sales, Arbor Networks. “Arbor has been pervasively deployed in the European service provider market for more than a decade. Expanding our partnership with WestconGroup and leveraging the incubation program will allow us to drive continued growth in the European enterprise security market for network visibility, DDoS protection and advanced threat detection solutions.”

“Arbor is primed to accelerate its growth at a time when solution providers and their customers need the ability to research, detect and mitigate network-based threats on a global scale,” said WestconGroup’s Senior Vice President – Central Region & EMEA Security Solutions Practice, Willem JH de Haan. “With joint investment from both companies, the incubation program provides them with the infrastructure and support to make that happen.”

Arbor Networks Solutions Overview

Arbor Networks’ customers gain a micro view of their own network through our suite of products, combined with a macro view of global Internet traffic and emerging threats, through our ATLAS threat intelligence infrastructure. ATLAS provides a comprehensive, aggregated view of global traffic and threats. More than 330 service provider customers contribute 120 Tbps of global traffic intelligence, enabling Arbor’s Security Engineering & Response Team (ASERT) to develop threat protections that are delivered directly into customer products to stop DDoS attacks and malware campaigns.

Arbor DDoS Solutions are proven on the world’s most demanding networks. The portfolio offers complete deployment flexibility to meet the needs of any organization, from virtual solutions and network-embedded solutions within Cisco’s ASR 9000 routers to appliances for enterprises and carrier-class scrubbing centers. Arbor Cloud offers a fully managed, best-practice DDoS defense service that tightly integrates on-premises and cloud-based mitigation in a single solution. The Arbor DDoS portfolio enables customers to ensure the availability of their critical infrastructure with the world’s most broadly-deployed DDoS mitigation technology.

Arbor Advanced Threat Solutions leverage integrated Netflow and Packet Capture technology for network-wide situational awareness and broad and deep traffic visibility and security intelligence that transforms threat detection and incident response through real-time and historical insights, stunning visualization and forensics. The Arbor solution enables customers to protect their most critical assets from advanced threats that are already in their network.
