Network General Names Kevin Nater Chief Financial Officer
SAN JOSE, CALIF., March 06 2007 – Network General™ Corporation, the leading provider of IT Service Assurance Solutions, today announced the appointment of Kevin Nater to chief financial officer. Nater joins Network General from Dell, Inc. where he most recently served as vice president of finance for Dell’s Contact Centers and US Marketing.
“Kevin’s broad experience in a Fortune 500 organization will be a great complement to the Network General leadership team,” said Bill Gibson, chief executive officer of Network General. “We are delighted to have Kevin aboard to help us take advantage of the tremendous growth opportunities in the network and application performance management industry.”
Nater will lead Network General’s global finance organization and will have responsibility for accounting, strategic planning and analysis, treasury, tax and audit. He will also lead the facilities and order operations teams.
During his 10 years at Dell, Nater held a variety of financial planning and operating roles. As vice president of finance, he was the finance leader responsible for Dell’s global contact centers and US Marketing organization. He also held positions including vice president and treasurer, president & CEO of Dell Financial Services, Inc., and vice president of finance for Dell’s Corporate Business Group.
Nater’s experience also includes serving 12 years as a senior banker for Citigroup, Inc., where he was responsible for relationship management and selling of financial solutions and products to large cap and global technology companies.
Nater holds a master’s and a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley. He has served as a board member for a variety of charitable organizations in the Austin area, including United Way Capital Area, Thoughtful House Center for Children and the Dell Foundation.
