Chandler, Arizona Secures Network and City with Network General
City Maintains One of the Country’s Fastest Growing Networks
SAN JOSE, CALIF., January 30, 2007 – Network General™ Corporation, the leading provider of IT Service Assurance solutions, today announced that one of the fastest growing cites in the United States, City of Chandler, Arizona, has selected Network General to help keep residents – and the network - secure. The city’s IT department will leverage the powerful combination of the Sniffer® InfiniStream® product and Sniffer Portable for real time visibility into its network infrastructure allowing the city’s IT team to identify and resolve issues before they impact local residents.
The City of Chandler has attracted Fortune 500 companies to the area over the years, presenting new employment opportunities and earning its reputation as the “High Tech Oasis of the Silicon Desert.” With more than 11,000 new residents in the last year, and 240,000 residents total, the City of Chandler has had to scale its network to support rapid growth. The city’s Network Operations team is responsible for the network that runs many of the city’s most vital operations.
