Network General Appoints Executive To Lead Sales In Asia Pacific and Japan Regions
International expansion remains a strategic focus for market leader Network General
SAN JOSE, CALIF., OCTOBER 12, 2005 Network General, the global leader in enterprise and application performance analysis, today announced the appointment of Mike Little as managing director and vice president of sales for the companys Asia Pacific (APAC) and Japan regions.
In his role, Little will drive the growth of Network Generals business in these regions by further strengthening relationships with the companys value-added resellers, and forming new partnerships to support strategic vertical markets.
Asia Pacific continues to play an important role in the development of the network and application performance market. According to Frost & Sullivan, a global growth consulting company, Asia Pacific generates more revenues for the LAN/WAN installation, maintenance and monitoring market segment than any other region in the world. The region is expected to double in size by 2011, growing to $335.1 million, with a compound annual growth rate of nearly 10 percent.
Asia Pacific and Japan present very high-growth opportunities for Network General, said Jim Flatley, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Network General. As we continue to strategically expand the business internationally, Mikes channel experience and his knowledge of Asia Pacific, will help Network General extend its position as the market leader in these key regions of the world.

Prior to joining Network General, Little was a vice president of Greater China, for BMC, an enterprise software company, where he rebuilt the organization and reestablished relationships that helped drive the companys revenues to an all-time high. Little also served as the vice president of worldwide services and support, and held the position of vice president of channels for the APAC region for BMC/Remedy. Additionally, Little has held key management positions at IBM and Siemens Business Communications Systems.
