Network General Names Charlie Abrahams as Vice President of Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa Region
SAN JOSE, CALIF., September 9, 2004 Network General, the leading developer and provider of award-winning solutions for network and application performance management, today announced the appointment of Charlie Abrahams as vice president of sales for Network General for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. In his role, Abrahams will drive the growth of the Network General EMEA business by creating a strategy that delivers high levels of customer satisfaction and fosters strategic partner relationships to extend market coverage.
Abrahams appointment to vice president of sales for the EMEA region demonstrates the Companys focus to deliver on strategic initiatives announced in July. As part of these initiatives, Abrahams intends to leverage Network Generals distribution and value-added reseller sales model to continue building existing and new relationships with customers in EMEA. Abrahams will also lead the effort to expand the Companys market reach beyond the traditional network management market and into the applications performance management market.
Prior to joining Network General, Abrahams was European managing director at Plumtree Software, the enterprise web technology leader. At Plumtree, Abrahams built the business from inception to the recognized leader in the European marketplace. Additionally, Abrahams held key sales and management positions with top companies including IBM, Amdahl and Burroughs.
