NetScout Launches Integrated, Centralized Monitoring & Reporting for Cisco NAMs
New SW Module Brings Full Benefits of NetScout's nGenius Solution to Support Cisco NAMs; RTM Migration Provides Full Upgrade to Multi-Disciplined Performance Management for Converged Networks
WESTFORD, Mass., Nov. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NetScout Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTCT), a leading provider of enterprise-wide network and application performance management products and solutions, today announced support for Cisco Network Analysis Modules (NAMs) with its nGenius(R) Integrator for Cisco NAMs. The new software module extends NetScout's nGenius(R) Performance Management Solution to address the needs of multiple NAM environments by providing both centralized management and simultaneous data collection and analysis of the network traffic statistics generated by NAM devices located throughout the enterprise. The nGenius Integrator for Cisco NAMs is also a key element in NetScout's migration solution for customers using NetScout's legacy nGenius Real Time Monitor (RTM) software for NAM management.
The nGenius Integrator for Cisco NAMs extends the benefits of NetScout's multi-disciplined performance management application, nGenius(R) Performance Manager, to deliver centralized management of large-scale deployments of NAMs while incorporating their data within the nGenius(R) Solution's enterprise- wide view of IT resources and performance. nGenius(R) Performance Manager unifies NAM statistics with other sources of performance data collected from throughout the enterprise, such as application utilization and response time measurements produced by NetScout's nGenius(R) Probes, and flow transaction records and SNMP utilization statistics produced by routers and switches. NetScout's nGenius Performance Manager publishes the unified information via the Web, for real-time monitoring and troubleshooting, and in newspaper-style Web reports geared for either technical or business users.

- Present NAM-based performance data in custom ad-hoc reports as well as regularly-published, Web-based newspaper reports,
- Leverage the NAM's NetFlow capabilities to view NetFlow statistics in a unified manner,
- Create a central repository of all performance records within the network,
- Migrate from nGenius Real Time Monitor to nGenius Performance Manager

The nGenius Integrator for Cisco NAMs is available as an optional, licensed module to nGenius Performance Manager 2.0.1 at $25,000 per server. A single nGenius Performance Manager license can support 50 NAM interfaces and is available at $50,000 per server. A single server may support one or more PM licenses.
