Premier New Customers Use NetScout to Optimize Network and Application Performance
Factiva, Hanover Compressor Company and UCSF Take Advantage of NetScout's nGenius Solution

WESTFORD, Mass., March 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NetScout Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTCT), a leading provider of enterprise-wide network and application performance management solutions, today announced several premier new customers that are using the nGenius(R) Performance Management System.

Among the new customers are:
  • Factiva(R), a Dow Jones and Reuters Company, which helps global companies integrate internal and external news and business information into their daily workflow to increase organizational intelligence. Factiva purchased the nGenius Solution to help ensure the performance of its Web-based products. In particular, Factiva is using the nGenius Solution to remotely troubleshoot the local area networks in its primary and secondary data centers.
  • Hanover Compressor Company, a global market leader that provides full service natural gas compression and a leading provider of service, fabrication and equipment for oil and natural gas processing and transportation applications. Hanover Compressor selected the nGenius Solution to improve the performance of enterprise applications being delivered across its new, high-speed core and wide area networks connecting its Texas headquarters to many domestic and international remote sites. One of the key applications being monitored is a new Oracle-based ERP system, which will support more than 5,000 employees worldwide.
  • University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), one of the world's premier health sciences universities and a leader in biomedical research. UCSF recently selected the nGenius Solution to ensure smooth network and application performance during a major upgrade of its PeopleSoft system. The system supports approximately 18,000 faculty and staff members. UCSF's large network covers three medical campuses in San Francisco and more than 100 remote campuses and regional clinics.
