NetScout Systems Expands International Sales Operations; Corporate Dependence on E-Business Drives Demand for NetScout Products in Worldwide Markets
WESTFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 4, 2000--NetScout(R) Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTCT), a global provider of business-critical network management solutions, today announced the opening of its new European headquarters, based in Slough, England. Expanding marketing and sales staff in the European region, NetScout aims to develop new relationships with key distributors and resellers as well as strengthen existing partnerships with systems integrators such as Logical Networks and Siemens Network Systems.
Complete with a new training center, laboratory and customer support facility, the office will co-ordinate the activities of NetScout's personnel in Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt and Oslo and service NetScout customers such as British Airways, AT&T, Sun Microsystems, 3M Corporation and Deutsche Bank AG London.
"We are seeing major demand for NetScout's products from large scale enterprise users across Europe as well as telecommunications service providers," said Jon Axon, area vice president of international sales, NetScout Systems. "Our offices across Europe will provide support for our push into the key European markets: Germany, United Kingdom, France and Southern Europe, the Benelux countries (Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands) and Scandinavia. At the same time the facilities in Britain will be the backbone around which we will expand our operations in Europe."
According to a recent report from analyst firm, Infonetics, worldwide enterprise network and systems management hardware and software expenditures are expected to grow from $9.5 billion in 1999 to $16.7 billion by the year 2003. Research indicates that corporate dependence on the Internet, web applications, web sites, intranets and e-business are driving the need for enterprise solutions that more effectively manage the network infrastructure.
