To the Customers of Network General,

NetScout is pleased to announce the completion of its acquisition of Network General.

We recognize that you might have questions about what the acquisition means for you and your investment in Network General products. Below, please find four key points regarding products and business policies that NetScout is implementing to protect your investment. As is always the case in acquisitions, you will hear many rumors about our intentions, especially from our competitors. Regardless of what you might hear to the contrary, these policies are in force for all Network General end-user customers, worldwide.

  • Continued support for all Network General products: We value and appreciate the investment you have made in Network General products and solutions and look forward to serving your needs far into the future. All purchases from the current price list will be protected through NetScout's standard support program for at least 24 months after the date that particular product is taken off the price list.
  • Continued investment in development of Sniffer and nGenius product families: These product lines are important to our long-term strategy and will remain in active development. We are very excited about opportunities to integrate the technologies from these critical product lines more broadly across NetScout's offerings, specifically focusing on building the world's best network and application management solutions.
  • Future upgrades to Sniffer InfiniStream to tightly integrate with the nGenius product family: NetScout will enhance these products and continue to provide you with significantly improved functionality. We intend to complete this integration by the end of the first calendar quarter of 2008.
  • Forums for on-going customer communication, focusing on the quality of support and product direction: Communications venues will include regular customer satisfaction surveys, quarterly newsletters, and an annual User Forum. In our most recent survey, 85% of surveyed customers say they would recommend NetScout to peers. We will work hard to maintain this same level of satisfaction as we expand our reach to cover Network General solutions.
