As a Network General customer, how will this acquisition benefit me?
NetScout is a strong, viable market leader who is committed to expanding the value you receive from your investment in Network General products. You will now have a combined packet-flow technology base, with Sniffer plus nGenius, to tackle the increasingly complex performance management challenges that are a result of virtualization, mobilization, and converged networks. The value of your Sniffer investment will grow as you are able to add sophisticated performance monitoring and alerting functionality, based upon the packet data that you already collect.
As a NetScout customer, how will this acquisition benefit me?
You will soon be able to access Network General’s expert packet analysis directly from your nGenius Performance Management System. The combination of Sniffer plus nGenius will give you the tools you need to efficiently tackle the increasingly complex performance management challenges that are a result of virtualization, mobilization, and converged networks.
Is NetScout focused on my needs as a customer?
As you know, NetScout is well-known as a customer-centric company, having won the Omega NorthFace award for exemplary customer service for the past three years. Our business objective is to provide you increasing value on top of your existing nGenius System investment. This was one of the key motivating factors for this acquisition. Stay tuned for some exciting updates to the portfolio and expanded investment behind the combined product lines. Be assured that the top priorities during this integration time period are maintaining customer communication, ensuring high quality customer support, and designing the integrated portfolio.
What is NetScout doing to protect my investment in Network General products?
NetScout is committed to providing the system support and continuity that your business requires. Today, you continue to have access to the same support team, systems, and infrastructure that you have relied on in the past. And, NetScout is working on a migration plan that will integrate your key Sniffer technologies with the nGenius Solution. Most existing Network General products will have a clear migration path, bringing the full benefit of KPI-to-Flow-to-Packet to you without requiring a hardware replacement. Additionally, in those few cases where a product may be discontinued, all product purchases made from the existing price list will fall under NetScout’s standard retirement program, assuring technical support for at least 24 months after the date any particular product is taken off the price list.
Will NetScout increase my price?
There are no current plans to increase pricing for existing product lines, although there may be some future modifications to regional pricing policies or licensing arrangements. All customers will be notified of any pending changes well in advance of the effective date.
Will I be forced to migrate to NetScout products?
No, there will be no forced migration. NetScout is committed to continued, orderly development of new features and functionality on the Network General portfolio of products, providing you with key reasons to migrate to newer releases as you’re ready.
Can I buy NetScout and Network General products together on the same purchase order?
We will not be able to combine our order processing systems until mid-2008. We will let our customers know when the new ordering process will be available prior to any transition.
As a potential customer, why should I now choose NetScout?
NetScout is the only vendor to provide a comprehensive, integrated packet-based operations intelligence solution that supports the full problem resolution work flow from identification to analysis to resolution.
